Me llegó una alerta de Degusta para informar que a los foodies les darÃan descuentos del 50% en los alimentos consumidos en los restaurantes A, B, C y Segundo Muelle. Hicimos la reserva online. Debo admitir que después de ingresada la información de la cantidad de comensales no vi la funcionalidad de reducir o aumentarlos. Tuve que cancelar y volver a reservar. Pero esta queja es con Degusta. Llegando al restaurante, aparcamos por la parte de atrás. Nos estaban esperando y tomamos uno de los privados. La atención fue impecable. Estuvieron pendientes de cada detalle. Como he estado pregonando, la atención se ha vuelto para mà unos de los ingredientes del menú. Pedimos causa de pollo muy bien lograda. Las cebollas marinadas estuvieron un poco subidas de sal. Un chicharrón de pescado con salsa rosada y tártara, que fue de buen gusto. De plato principal, escogimos salmón con vegetales cocidos, lomo en salsa criolla y un risotto de quinoa en salsa huancaÃna con lomo. Eatuvieron muy sabrosos, en especial el risotto. Los jugos de maracuyá y limón con hierbabuena staban muy buenos. Volveremos pronto. Pedimos café, té y crocante de limón con hierbabuena.

Segundo Muelle has been around for quite some time now not only because of the quality of food they serve but because of their excellent service. It’s one of the very few places in Panama where I truly feel that a customer is treated well and given importance. Regards to the food we ordered, while most of the dishes were very good (most especially the Cordero) there were 2 dishes that was a little salty - the ceviche and the causa de pollo. Else, the rest made for a truly enjoyable evening.
I have always been a fan of Segundo Muelle's food. But, I had to write about my group's last experience in this restaurant. We made a reservation for 9PM, we got in right on time and the restaurant was packed. They did not have our table ready and we had to wait a good 30-35 minutes for it. Which we did not mind as we knew the food would be worth the wait. The waiter came and asked what we wanted to order for appetizers. After they brought those and our drinks... my friends and I were having a good time between the amazing food and conversation. After some time, I realized that we hadn't ordered our main courses and neither did the waiter come back to ask if we wanted anything else. When I called him and signalled to him that I wanted the menú, he brought us our bill! I was shocked and told him that we hadn't even ordered our main courses and he said that it was too late and that kitchen was closing up. So I told him that he should have come to us and warned us about it. He then had the audacity to ask if this was the first time we were dining there... when I told him no, he then replied that we should have known when the kitchen is closing and ordered on time. He could tell that I was really upset because I told him I have been to the finest restaurants around the world and no matter what, the waiters are always on top of what their tables are ordering and always give their clients a heads up. The waiter attending us then huddled together with other servers and came back to us to give us a few options that we can order but that we had to decide right away.. As we were finishing our dinner and rushed through dessert.. they had turned off their air conditioning unit, turned up the chairs, and even turned off the lights. While the food is undoubtedly good, I am not sure if I will ever return to this restaurant because of how rude this waiter was to us. Such a shame.
Excelente opción de comida Peruana en San Francisco. Buena atención y cómodo estacionamiento en el area posterior del restaurante. Muy recomendable el Tacu Tacu de Mariscos, Tartar de Atún Acebichado y el Cebiche Tres AjÃes. Lo único mejorable son los precios. Un poco alto y n comparación con otras opciones Peruanas en la zona.
