Makoto

La sensación del momento, definitivamente el marketing hace mucho, sin embargo no hay que quitarle mérito a la cocina de Makoto. Probé El Makoto Salad y el Ceviche WaterMelon, guiandome por recomendaciones de terceros, y la verdad no me sorprendió. Espero que el resto de la carta sea fabulosa.

Reconozco que al entrar el sitio impresiona, me sentí en otro país. Pero la comida no estuvo a la altura. Me pareció un sitio bastante costoso en relación calidad / precio. Un pescado a horno de casi 50 dólares que no tenia nada especial pues me hace pensarme mucho regresar. Quizá no supimos elegir bien, o quizá las sugerencias del mesero que decía a todo “ eso es muy bueno” pero que se ve no entendía tampoco bien sus propios platos pues no nos deja mucha entusiasmo para una segunda oportunidad .

Makoto is a true gem in Panama. During this visit we had a few mishaps: first the wagyu sticks were over cooked. Second, the waiter misheard our order and brought a second dish that we didn’t order... he kept claiming that he heard 2 when we only ordered 1. And lastly, we had an issue with the chicken dumplings with trufa. We ordered them and asked if it came with trufa, the waiter confirmed and brought shaved trufa without letting us know that there’s an extra charge for it. When the bill came we were shocked to see $30 just for trufa, when we questioned it... they claimed we ordered it aside when we had only asked if it came with it. While the waiter did remove this charge, it reminded me that whichever restaurant we visit.. we have to always be vigilant in checking the bill twice!

I have always been a fan of Makoto delivery. I love their bento boxes and the proportions. Today I was thoroughly looking forward to it.. as the last time I ordered the sashimi bento box it even came with an ice pack to keep the sashimi fresh and cool. I was highly disappointed with the the size of the pieces of sashimi... they were really tiny. And on top of that... they packed it in a bad way that half the miso soup fell. I showed the guy he dropped it off and he didn't seem to care much. Hope they can go back to what they were doing before...

La atencion es buena, la comida excelente!!!! Probe un trago que me recomendo el mesero y estaba estupendo!!! Lamentablemente tienen graves problemas de extracción en la cocina y todo el humo con olores y calor se pasa al area de las mesas. Uno sale oliendo a comida
