This is a happening place! The restaurant is beautiful-the web photos do not do it justice. A fun place to watch all sorts of people and a menu which is exciting and different. We ordered too much as portions are quite large and we wanted to try everything. We will definitely return to try the items we didn't get to sample.

This is our second visit to this restaurant in the last month and we feel that it is now on our list of favorite places to dine. The filete is amazing and the fish was wonderful. Service could not be better. And a large parking lot makes being there so easy. Couldn't find a thing to criticize!

I find it hard to believe this restaurant is highly rated, and the absence of a crowd at lunch might prove my point. The worst thing we ordered was the Ramen Tradicional. It was awful. The pork in the broth seem to be weeks old and the liquid was milky with starch. The edamame were midgets. The Rock Shrimp were not crispy. I won't return.

The food here is wonderful. This was our third visit and it seems that everything was better than ever. The menu is extensive but if you want to change something in your choice, the kitchen is happy to accommodate. Our server forgot to bring several things we asked for and may need a bit more experience. But the meal was top notch! Bravo to the chef.

The restaurant is very attractive, a striking contrast from the entrance which is brightly lit, hot and noisy. But the dining area is elegant. Unfortunately the food does NOT live up to the atmosphere. Most of our choices were overwhelmed with thick tomato sauce. The pasta which was supposed to have a truffle sauce not only did not seem to have truffle flavor at all but had an odd taste which made it inedible. An Italian restaurant which cannot produce good pasta will not entice me back.

Siempre rico. Todo fresco y bien preparado. El mejor comida Peruana en Panama. Nosotros vamos a comer allá con frecuencia y nunca hemos comido algo mal hecho. Todo el tiempo la comida es perfecto.

We were impressed with the well priced and delicious dinner we enjoyed at this restaurant. We sat outside and had fun watching people walk by. Our server was pleasant and our food arrived quickly. A return to sample more of the menu is in order for the future.

As usual an evening at Makoto was spectacular. We took two foodie friends from the US who were blown away by the food, the service and the table on the terrace which resulted in a perfect evening. They hoped Makoto would consider opening in Philadelphia where they live. This has been our favorite restaurant since it opened and it has never been a disappointment.

I have never been to any restaurant more than Makoto. It seems they simply do not have off nights. The food is always amazing and service is impeccable. There are a few favorites which we always order but new and delicious things are also wonderful and become future favorites. There simply isn't a better place to spend an evening in Panama!

A major disappointment! We hadn't been to Maito since before the pandemic and were impressed by the changes in the terrace area where we were seated-a lovely space. But things went downhill from there. The cocktails were watered down and tasteless. When the food came absolutely nothing was hot. Two of us found our plato fuentes inedible. I wonder what has happened to this formerly dependable place!
