El restaurante ha quedado bonito, antes quedaba allí IL Nono que era también de pasara pero menos fancy, servicio puede mejorar, mi pedido de raviolis me gustó mucho!
Went here recently and immediately thought that this should be good when walking into this old, well established looking restaurant. How wrong could I have been...in 2 words "very poor"...and honestly even that is being kind. For an entree I ordered Italian "antipasto" (for $15.50!!!!!) and was looking forward to a nice plate of imported cured meats with some nice cheese. Instead what I got...and I'm not kidding here...was some cheap slices of salami with really cheap PEPPERONI PIZZA slices!...and some tiny little chopped pieces of PEPPER JACK cheese. My God!...Mama Italia would have turned in her grave!!! I was so underwhelmed to be almost insulted. My colleagues had equally underwhelming starters....calamari tails like rubber bands and bruschetta made from almost a whole loaf covered in cheese over chopped tomato. From looking at other tables it seemed the bruschetta was popular....well it was cheap and tasteless which I think says something about a few things here. For main course I had some ricotta stuffed pasta with a salmon sauce which was "ok", but nothing special at all. The restaurant was not very busy and the service was terrible. We ordered another (different) bottle of red wine....and the waiter left it on the table and walked away. We had to call him back after 10 minutes to open it and give us some glasses. I noticed another table giving the waiter a hard time over his inability to serve wine properly. To add insult to injury, we sat outside on a night with no breeze and the multitude of ceiling fans would not operate more than 5 revolutions per minute. There are FAR FAR FAR better places to eat Italian than this. I won't be going back.
