Fantastic evening out at Kaandela! While it can take a while to find the place, once there you get a warm welcome from all the staff. This open kitchen restaurant allows you to see how each of the kitchen team work on every plate. Reserve and sit at the counter to get a detailed explanation from Chef Edy as he prepares each dish before it goes out.
Highly recommend the pork belly lollipops for starters and the crackling sticky pork shank for mains. Or try the 27 hour cooked smoked short rib.
They are still in the soft opening phase and seeing what dishes work. They do need more dessert options. Give feedback directly to the chef, he will appreciate it.
As it’s an open restaurant with a fire pit, so you will smell like smoke if you sit in the kitchen area. However for most it should be fine and it is in no way uncomfortable sitting there for your meal.
