Salsipuedes
The executive lunch was a delightful surprise! For only $14.95, one is served a starter, entree, desert and a non-alcohol beverage. AND... the menu selections offered and served were exceptional. The cuisine was imaginative and offered some surprise ingredientes. Try this lunch experience. I suspect you will enjoy it. The only negative is often the traffic problem in front of The Bristol Hotel. What a delightful surprise. The executive lunch for $14.95 includes a starter, entree, desert and a non-alcohol drink. The menu selection and service are excellent. The cuisine was imaginative, served properly and hot. The only negative is traffic in front of The Bristol can be slow and frustrating. Petit París (Marbella)
While the somewhat French dishes can be delicious, they sometimes lack authenticity. The bakery selections are far superior. Their croissant with ham and cheese is excellent and their fruit flavored cheese cakes are outstanding. I prefer to select pastries to take home. Their decor is dated and needs refreshing. It;s drab and dull, so eat outside in the front of the restaurant.
Vinoteca
Vinoteca consistently maintains it's prominence as one of Panama City's finest restaurants. Their Italian specialties paired with selections from their stellar list of Italian wines are unbeatable in the city..Dining there is always a memorable occasion/ BRAVO
Cascomar
What a delightful dining experience! Six of us commented on the European ambiance in the main room, plus the out side tables overlooking the bay offer a pleasant early evening setting for cocktails.. The superb Spanish cuisine is enhanced by the knowledgeable wait staff and reminiscent of a holiday on the Mediterranean. Unfortunately they are not open for lunch. We are looking forward to returning soon.
Annie & Motts (El Cangrejo)
A charming, relaxing ambiance in a newly decorated small house. The Sunday brunch offers a double menu of breakfast plus lunch. The choices offer fresh, well prepared dishes served by a pleasant wait staff. Their home-made desserts are a treat. Their take-out frozen dips are original and tasty (when they have them). The small spaces are tastefully furnished and encourage a delicious, unhurried meal.
Salsipuedes
This was my first trip to the Salsipuedes restaurant relocation on the fifth floor. The tables are spaced far enough apart to carry on conversations in private. the spacious area is comfortable. The attentive servers were knowledgeable and helpful when ordering. The menu selections are mostly small, tapas-like servings and reasonably priced. They feature 2 for 1 cocktails and offer special appetizer dishes in the early evenings. I plan to return for these specials..
La Pasta by Pomodoro
Consistent is my one work description for Pomodoro. I have eaten there regularly for 13 years, as I live a block away. I know when I order exactly what I will get on my plates. There are no disappointing surprises in the dishes. The service is also consistent. Many of the wait staff are long timers and take exceptional care of their diners. The menu specials change every 10 days or so and usually offer different items off the regular menu. They deliver, but I choose to go there, order, and wait for my take out food. I trust they will continue their dependable food and service. Unfortunately the decor does not ever change. It badly needs updating.
Bruttito
Bruttito is a much needed restaurant addition to the MultiPlaza scene. Attractive decor, a pleasant, professional wait staff, varied menu selections, and the most attractive and delicious desserts in the city. I prefer their steak tartar sliders as an entree. Their fish dishes are also well prepared.. Their location can be difficult to find. It is on the 2 piso over the Farrigamo boutique. GO!
Muh Panamá
A creative idea combining a butcher shop with a restaurant serving their butchered products. The beef is well cooked to order, but ask for less salt on the meat. Then add salt to your taste. The guacamole is well seasoned and an ample serving. The mac and cheese side dish is delicious and the grilled asparagus is etasty as well. The chocolate dessert is one of the best in town, and they have a apple and pineapple crumble with ice cream that is not on the menu. Ask for it.
Casa Stizzoli
The dramatic space and decor are outstanding. The northern Italy menu is a welcome find in Panama where there are numerous pseudo Italian eateries. My entree of stuffed pasta shells was delicious, and the vitello tonato, a dish not usually found on Panamanian menus, was exceptional. The prices are quite reasonable. Unfortunately the dessert (one of four selections offered) was disappointing. Excellent, well trained service staff. The house red wine was acceptable, but a short pour. I will return soon, hoping for desserts with a quality matching the other menu items.
