Wild Wings
We were so disappointed. We rented a lovely room at Amador with an amazing view and thought we'd order wings to enjoy while watching the superbowl. We ordered a large portion to go. They seemed as if they didn't have to go boxes as the young man had to search which is odd as there's very few tables to eat there. Then he left our fries uncovered so it was a challenge carrying it back to the apartment. The chicken and fries tasted as if they never change the grease they fry their food in. Everyrhing had a stale greasy taste. I would definitely not recommend this place.
Soban Korean (El Cangrejo)
My spouse use to be a chef in an Asian restaurant years ago and has tough opinions and what's authentic tasting in Panama and what is not. We both give Soban two thumbs up. We were first given a sampler which was really nice. We were even asked if we'd like more. First we ordered dumplings. Let me tell you that the bowl was filled with them. They are not cheap with their portions. We next had soup and a beef dish which were both amazing. Both dishes claimed to be spicy but weren't overly hot. The owner came out and introduced herself and explained all the sauces are made from natural ingredients and homemade. We can believe it. We will definitely return in the future.
Olive Garden (Multiplaza)
Pleasantly surprised. We have never liked the OG franchises in the USA but this one in Multiplaza Mall is excellent in categories of food, comfort and service. We were seated into very comfortable seats that were a pleasant distance from others (hate to be crammed with tables too close to one another). The salad and bread sticks were quite yummy. We requested seconds of the bread. The chicken parmesian was also very good. The waiter was quick to refill drinks and provided excellent service
Arepas Vía España
Wow wow wow you would not expect such goodness from first impressions of this place but indeed what we ordered was really good. We were not intending on having lunch here. Our ride was having issues so we were walking back to our hotel and a very persuasive woman dressed in Colombiana attire escorted us right into the place (she needs a raise, as she's very good). There's a good variety of food on the menu that's reasonably priced. Everything we ordered was very tasty and the service was also very good. I took off one point becauas there wasn't any soap in the restroom.
Parrillada Martin Fierro
We probably will not come back to this restaurant. We ordered an expensive mixed meats but after having the buffet salad, we couldn’t eat very much of the meats. The waiter swiftly took it away and didn’t even offer to wrap it up to go! The picture I posted is what was leftover. So we basically spent a lot of money for lettuce! Wasn’t pleased at all. Poor service. Didn’t offer to refill drinks even.
Mar de Grau
I ordered the lomito saltado and it was absolutely delicious! I liked that they added cilantro; it complimented the sauce. The beef was also very tender. The waiter was very polite and provided good suggestions. I didn’t have to wait very long which I appreciate. I will definitely return.
Campo Alto Restaurant
Ubicación maravillosa. Gran servicio. La comida es fresca y deliciosa. Auténtico y muy rico. La gestión es en el sitio y servicial. Sin duda lo recomiendo.
Citi Cafe
The waiter was excellent: very nice, spoke both English and Spanish, was very attentive and checked on me frequently. The seating was in a comfortable booth with a window looking down at the Main Street. The view was of palms and minor traffic. The hamburger was good except it had guacamole which I asked not to be added. However, it was easy to remove. My main gripe is about the yucca fritas. They were not fresh delicious yucca fritas that I’ve come to love in Panama. They were frozen. Big no-no. Had I known, I would have chosen a different side.
Beirut (Area Bancaria)
One of my favorite places to eat in the city. Love this place! I recommend the family sampler that has a little of everything.
Ruth`s Chris Steakhouse
Not my favorite streak house in Panama. The food was good but not what I would rate as excellent; specially when there's an awesome steak place just a few blocks away. The Caesar salad was the best part of the meal. However, If you're looking to eat at an over-priced American brand restaurant name and less interested in quality, this place is for you. There's better established Panamanian steak houses.
