Once again we went to Cascomar with friends. it is a consistently wonderful restaurant with quality of food and good service. my only complaint this time was the temperature inside - it was unbearably cold !

We introduced our favourite restaurant to more friends last night. They were very impressed and enjoyed it as much as we did. The food is delicious and more importantly the meals and service are consistently excellent. I have no problem recommending this restaurant unlike many others we have tried in Panama over the years.

Our friends joined us for lunch at Isaki yesterday. we had been there once before and food and the service remains consistently good. we had the crispy Brussels sprouts, tempura shrimp, dumplings in both mushroom and lobster and finally the prime steak 8 oz. The meat was a bit fatty and the lobster dumplings very creamy but everything tasted wonderful. just the right amount of spiciness.

Cascomar is out go to restaurant in Casco. The food, the service were excellent and the only bad thing was the screaming child at the next table but it was Sunday lunch. Eggplant chips and artichokes with ham were delicious, Solomillo was perfect and our friends shared the prawns and said they were very good. We always have the textures de chocolate because we are chocaholics. Our friends shared a white chocolate brownie and said that it was more like pound cake but it did have a shard of white chocolate on the plate. We were not disappointed again. It is so nice to have consistent food and service in restaurants in Panama.

First impressions of the ambiance were good - loved the lamps and screens to make booths although we don’t like bench seating or stools there were some tables with chairs. The service was good and the dancing was a pleasant surprise. The food was disappointing though. I enjoyed the smooth creamy garbanzo hummus but the tabouleh was quite salty and the sfijas dry and the pastry was quite thick so not much filling. We probably won’t go back since the menu has no seafood or fish dishes.

Two things made this experience less than perfect. 1. The small fruit flies that invaded our table forcing us to go inside and 2. The overcharge on our bill which was corrected after we mentioned it. Otherwise the food was beautifully presented and delicious with subtle nuances of flavours evolving with each bite. We had the brussel sprouts with kimchi sauce followed by the shrimp in tempura batter and lastly the lobster dumplings. Our friends had the flamed salmon rolls (a bit scary) and the crab rolls with truffle butter. For dessert we had the chocolate molten cake which took forever to arrive (it would be helpful to mention that in the menu) but delightful nevertheless. The service was initially attentive but decreased as the restaurant filled up.

We had an oferta simple for this restaurant which only applied to pastas, burgers and pizza. We had the burger and it was very good but the fries were a bit soggy. The wine list was very expensive. The chocolate dessert was very good but we still paid another $50 for lunch. Too expensive!! for what we had. We won't go back.

we enjoyed a ladies lunch out at one of our favourite restaurants in the city. We shared a focaccia and all had the ravioli stuffed with porcini mushrooms in a cream sauce with Italian sausage. It was delicious and the portion just the right size for lunch

My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day with lunch here today. We shared a carpaccio de res - very good but needs more cheese ( which they gave us when we asked for it) and then I had the lamb with a wild salad and my husband had the local beef tenderloin with French fries. Both meals were delicious, melt in your mouth with lots of flavour. the portions were huge! They didn’t have the chocolate dessert that we wanted but we will definitely return to try other things on the menu. the decor is lovely calicanto walls with greenery hanging from the ceiling. a clever way to sound proof the space. soft pleasant music, no TV’s!!!!

We LOVE this restaurant! tried a new dish last night - the tuna marinada - superb! Consistently great food and attentive service.
