Ciboulette
This is one of the more elegant restaurants. It is a relatively small restaurant and it is pretty expensive. The food was very good (it would have to be extraordinary for me to give it a 5*). The portions were decent size. The service was extremely attentive.
La Strega Ristorante (Bella Vista)
I am not sure if it is affiliated with the restaurant with the same name in CDE but this one is more modest. The menu was typical Italian. The portions were decent, and the food was OK but nothing extraordinary. The service was very slow. Admittedly the restaurant was very crowded but it took over an hour for even drinks to arrive. Iam not likely to return.
1739 (Hotel la Compañía)
This is the French restaurant in the Hotel. It is very beautiful. The food was excellent although the portions were modest. It is not cheap but be aware the alcohol is incredibly expensive. A glass of wine $13. I was disappointed with the experience.
Atope
This was my first time here. In general, I was pleased. The service was excellent. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The cuisine is Spanish style. There was an extensive menu and the portions were reasonable. I am sure I will return again.
Ciao Ragazzi (Costa del Este)
There are several branches. I ate at the one in CDE. The food was good as was the service. The restaurant is of moderate size with both indoor and outdoor seating. It has a traditional Italian menu. It was fine although not exceptional. The portions were of a decent size and the prices ready.
Austin Mama`s (Corozal)
I have been to the branch in CDE. This place is much larger. The menu is the same-Texas barbeque. The food was very good. The service was a little slow although the restaurant was very full. There was an excellent band playing that night so the noise level was very high. I would return to this one or the one in CDE when I am in the mood for this type of cuisine.
Mochikas
I was very disappointed. I usually go to Nazca 21 in CDE but I thought I would try a different Peruvian restaurant. That turns out to have been a mistake. The food was ok. The service was slow. The restaurant is tiny and not especially appealing. I won't return.
Blue Taphouse (Costa del Este)
The food and service was good. There was nothing particularly special or exciting but the meal was acceptable. I would probably return at a future time.
Canal House
My first visit to this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. It's at the beginning of Amador right on the canal. It is a large open space with a view of the canal. The food was excellent as was the service. The restaurant was quite noisy but otherwise I would not hesitate to return if I were in the area.

This is a new restaurant/bar in Costa del Este. It is on the 6th floor and has indoor seating and rooftop outdoor area. It is Peruvian cuisine. I found the restaurant very attractive and the service excellent. The food was also excellent and very innovative. Unfortunately, the portions are small and the prices high. So you have to order a number of different items. They were all delicious but in the end the bill was one of the largest in Panama even before the drinks which were also pricey. That being said I enjoyed the meal and intend to return notwithstanding the high prices.
