I think... the best pour over in town; the coffee beans were fresh, and it was a very nice cup. well executed!
we always sit outside, it’s just too cold inside to our liking
it’s good! its consistently making ok hamburgers and better beer.
I like the ambience, Argentinian Rock, I so appreciate so much that there raggaeton isn’t played here.. it’s probably what I like the most about la fabrica.
service, it isn’t bad .. it’s not particularly good either.. (measured by applicable standards)
I like Chèvre; great idea - and I’ve had many good experiences here!
the cheese selection is the best in panama, No one else are even close ... but today I was sincerely disappointed.
now, we found 3$ for a small bottle of sparkling water was over the top, so we had 3 glasses of house water; I had no idea, that a restaurant would even get the idea to give people water that taste more like clorox than water - it was undrinkable!
not a big thing, we ordered a bottle of water, wine, food ...
the food was “ok” it wasn’t great, it was mediocre, forgettable at best - but ok. I don’t even think I would have written this review if that would have been the end of it.
but - we then ordered a créme brûlée - I thought it was an interesting choice to put a sherbet on top; a d the sherbet wasn’t bad to be honest... but the sugary egg mix underneath a poorly caramelisation of sugar was mildly spoken discussing and did not have the slightest resemblance to a creme brûlée; it was altogether very very rubbish!
But this isn’t where the disappointment stopped... we had ordered coffee. the beans must have been stale, old, off - I just don’t know how anyone in their right mind would serve so bad coffee ? it was bland, underextracted tasteless - and this is just not OK at this price point.
I know that Chèvre can do better; this was a disappointment. The pizza was OK, the cheese selection is still the best in panama.
do better Chèvre!
Very nice ambience, the location is great and we really enjoyed the entertainment. We sat on the balcony and had a great view.
The food was mediocre and forgettable. if only the pita bread would have been fresh - but stale pita just makes an otherwise ok hummus (etc) blend into the world of things that could, and should, be forgotten.
I remember Ciao Bella, 2-3 years ago; and were hence rather excited to see that it had reopened in Soho mall.
I ordered the portobello risotto. This was a disappointment on so many levels that it cannot be described with words.
This was over cooked rice, not a single “al dente grain” mushy rice was served... the fish was bland and the promised portobello mushrooms were left as 3 fried slices portobello on top of this bland grey champignon rice mix.
I try to search my memory for a worse risotto imitation, but I really don’t remember that I have ever been this disappointed.
The service wasn’t either as “the old ciao bella” more what one would expect in pio pio.
The desert selection wasn’t even a shadow of what it once was.
It will take a wee while before I will come back here.
It could be that the chef had a day off, but then it would be better to close the kitchen for rice and pasta.
We expected innovative food, something like bruttos or bruttitus but found a forgettable American Standard eaterie.
It wasn’t bad at such, just very forgettable, Instagram friendly dishes.
A linguine with a tomato sauce came in bland, sugary, over cooked - but looking fabulous.
The clams; the taste of a cheap butter imitation was so dominant that it wasn’t possible to find head or tale in the dish.
For the price, I expected more; perhaps the Pizza is what makes the cut here?
The service however was up to par.
Good service, pleasant ambience - lovely presentation of everything.
We had a pasta with langostinos and creamy sauce; the spaghetti was slightly overdone, but the langostinos were absolutely pleasant.
Pork ribs and short rib - very nicely done.
A milhojas banana cream desert was surprisingly nice.
Forgettable..
Actually I forgot that I’ve been there before.
They neither had the red wine from the menu I asked for (Luigi bosca Malbec; then I asked for a white Albariño, that wasn’t there either - then from the beer menu: apasionada.. needless to say that this particular IPA was also not in the keep,
We asked for a large bottle of sparkling water. When we later saw this bottle on the bill; we got charged 2x6 buck for one large bottle of lukewarm Perrier.
We knew up front that it was lukewarm, and said ice would be ok. Staff didn’t have the imagination to put the bottle in a wine cooler - one would say that with a 500% margin, that some sort of service apart from opening the bottle... anyway- enough said about the drinks; they managed to find us Beer, well pulled and brought promptly to the table.
As for the food;
We had a ceviche, looking pretty, and rather agreeable.
Papas bravas; some strange deep-fried potato hash; they were not unpleasant as such; very fatty, crisp, and with very little resemblance with, what I would expect when ordering, papas bravas
Some kind of hamburger, lukewarm - soaked in indescribably substances; but certainly instagram worthy.
The chips where on the other hand made perfect! Crisp, warm, fried perfect! McDonald could not have done this better; these chips were certainly much prettier.
Staff was very friendly.
The food and service was in best case forgettable. I however think, that 12 dollars for a bottle of lukewarm Perrier, will set a lasting mark in my memory.
La mejor comida japonesa de la ciudad, súper recomendado. Siempre regresaremos cada domingo en familia y amigos que quieran experimentar con la comida japonesa, aunque esta es un poco upscale.

A very good honest concept! The beer was good - service was, as always, excellent - and the hamburgers are perhaps the best in town
