Delicious fish tacos with nice ambiance and good service. You order at the cashier and then take your food to go sit, which is efficient and easy. There were at least 8+ staff working hard and service was good. Get the tacos with the smoked corvina, very good.
I was very pleasantly surprised by our visit to Mentiritas Blancas. We went with our dog (they're pet friendly) for brunch, it's a very casual spot, you order and pay at the counter and sit to be served. We ordered more of the "lunch type" foods rather than typical brunch, the veggie toast and the falafel salad, and they were both AMAZING. Extremely fresh, very flavorful, and overall extremely delicious. I did not have the opportunity to try the coffee, but the iced tea options were also very good. Very good food with fresh ingredients, good prices, would certainly go back.
Excellent service and very good cocktails, but mediocre and overpriced food. I live nearby and have been meaning to try Malo for some time now as several people have recommended it, so my girlfriend and I finally went on Friday night. Our waiter was super attentive and the service was really great, and he recommended a really good tequila cocktail that we both enjoyed. The food however was very disappointing. Much of the menu is either fried or soaked in butter, and the portions are extremely small for the price. We decided to go with the DeGusta "most recommended" dishes, as we typically find those are safe choices, however we liked none of then. The Spicy Mai tasted like fonda bought shumai that they added a sauce to, the seafood risotto was pretty good, but nothing special, and the Malo Salad was very normal with a weird strawberry jam dressing. The food was very disappointing, and I don't think we'll be going back. The service was very good, but the highlight of the meal was when we went for ice cream afterwards.
I had been to the old casa tua several times a few years back, but wanted to try their new local in San Francisco. The ambience is much better, it’s very cozy but also elegant and simple. Service was great, prices are reasonable, and food was reasonable. My girlfriend and I shared two appetizers, one main dish, a dessert, and bottle of prosecco. Everything was amazing, particularly the steak carpaccio and the Santa margarita Prosecco. All around was one of the best meals I’ve had in the past year in Panama, highly recommend.
I went to Assisi with my girlfriend for the first time last night, and after 9 years in Panama this was one of my favorite and more memorable meals! The food was incredible, bursting with flavor, amazing texture. Service was great (restaurant was pretty empty), and there's a nice ambience. I highly, highly recommend the pulpo a la parilla and the tortellini de cordero, they were both incredible.
I’m a huge fan of tacos, and really love Tacos la Neta and Coyo Tacos, but no one does al pastor like Taco T, they are hands down the best. These tacos are addicting, bursting with flavor. Better than Tarascos too in my opinion. Good prices, lots of menu options.
Great restaurant, I hadn't been there in years (since it used to be Sake), and I was very pleasantly surprised. The menu is very big, and an interesting fusion of Peruvian and Japanese. It's definitely a "seafood heavy" menu, but if you don't eat seafood there are other options too. Service was fantastic. Try the pulpo anticuchero appetizer, it's delicious.
There are so many Japanese/Sushi restaurants in Panama these days, this one is good. Nothing incredible to write home about, but good service, good food. The sushi pizza is delicious, the sushi rolls were OK, there are about 30 different roll options, but they all have the same ingredients more or less, and they almost ALL have cream cheese unfortunately. Anyways good restaurant, worth a try if you've never been, but there are better ones too.
We’re quite picky with our tacos, and Coyo Taco did not disappoint! A huge variety of tacos to choose from, we tried the pulpo, al pastor, cochinillo pibil, and camarón, all which were very good. If you like pulpo, the pulpo taco is delicious! It’s fast food style, you order and pay at the counter, and then they bring you your food to the table (very quickly!). The margaritas were also delicious, and they use top shelf tequila (Don Julio blanco). Will definitely be going back.
Maagoo’s Fish Tacos
Great place, best tacos in Panama right now. The smoked fish is amazing. I’m getting hungry for Maagoo’s just writing this.
