Un poco desolado y muerto el ambiente. De repente por ser un jueves y estar un poco lejos de la quincena, etc., etc. Pregunté si tenían arañitas de entrada y me confirmaron que sí. Cuando llega el plato veo que es un plato grande con una cantidad de arañitas de plato-fuerte. al revisar el menú me doy cuento que ES un plato-fuerte de at arañitas ya que no las tienen de entrada. Creo que esto lo debieron avisar. El “Pescado a lo macho” se transformó en un filete. Esto sí lo avisaron antes de hacer el pedido. Les pregunto si no había pescado, y me dijeron que si pero solo para el plato que es un especial de chef. El “Filete a lo macho” estaba ahí “más o menos” honestamente, duro de recomendar.
Llegué a este lugar por un evento especial de un grupo social, pero me quedé por “El Pargo”. Me senté en la barra, pedí un menú, pero un señor que estaba en la barra me dice “Ni pidas el menú, pide El Pargo”. Hay que respetar la opinión de antigüedad así que pedí “El Pargo”. Treinta minutos después se sienta otra persona en el bar y pide el menú, le digo yo “Ni pidas el menú, pide El Pargo”. Pidan “El Pargo”.
I’ve been wanting to visit this place for quite some time now. I follow them on IG, and they post nice images of great looking food. Finally went there about 2 weeks ago. Right away I wasn't really feeling the establishment. It doesn't feel like a BBQ spot to me, it was a little boring. But, I went for the food , not for the entertainment, so lets stay focused. I ordered the brisket and it was delicious, flavor was on point and very smokey. I highly recommend it. If I have to be honest I really wanted beef ribs., but they don't have that on the menu. I think the menu is somewhat limited in options (kinda basic). I ordered a side of potato salad to go with the brisket (meat and potato) , and I was pleasantly surprised by the potato salad. Brisket, potato salad, and panecillo. I was happy with that. Over all the food is very good, they know how to do BBQ. The ambiance is "meh", and doesn't really go with the BBQ feeling (in my humble opinion). Lastly the menu could use a few more options.
Pedí el pargo entero frito con patacones? y tengo que decir es uno de los mejores pargos que he probado: Excelente sazón, piel crujiente sin sacrificar la carne blanca. Los patacones también crujientes y delgados (patacones light 😃) que no caen como plomo en el estómago. Asegúrense de pedir el picante para su pargo, le eleva a otro nivel. De postre pedí un cheesecake, pero honestamente no fue de mi agrado. Tengo que decirlo, soy un cheesecake snob.
Went there because my friend visiting from DC wanted to eat a red snapper. unfortunately the restaurant en Casco Viejo doesn’t have red snappers, only the one in the causeway. He settled for the whole corvina fried with patacones, and he wasn’t disappointed. I had the whole corvina grilled with salted potatoes and vegetables. My fish was perfectly cooked, the potatoes and vegetables had the perfect amount of salt and flavor. It was a great choice. The ambiance was loud because of a music band that was playing in the park. Not sure if they were there because of the restaurant or what, but that was annoying. Overall the food was great, and the service was decent considering the layout and amount of people that were there. i would recommend it for fish.
Me encanto la comida. Pedí chicken and waffles, y estuvieron excelentes. Los pancakes de mi esposa también estuvieron buenísimos. Fui un domingo con mi familia; esposa más hijo de 2 años, pensando que era un ambiente de familia. Sin embargo se siente más como un bar, o un lugar para parkear con amigos después del trabajo. Incluso aunque habían otras personas en familia, esto no cambia el "feeling" de bar. Es más, cuando llegamos y vimos el local por fuera, pensé que el waze nos había llevado al lugar equivocado. Sugiero que trabajen en la fachada del mismo.
Del igual manera lo recomiendo, y es probable que regresaré, pero por lo menos ya se que el ambiente no es mi favorito para estar entre familia
Excelente atención y comida. Altamente recomendado. Probe la sopa de marisco (SOPA SUMASH) como entrada y es la mejor sopa que he probado en TODO Panamá. El rollo Volcano fue mi plato principal, y también lo recomiendo. La atención fue de primera. Casualidad de la vida que me mesero fue uno de mis viejos meseros que siempre me atendían en el antiguo restaurante "Bolero". Saludos a Eric.

Pedí el pargo entero frito con patacones? y tengo que decir es uno de los mejores pargos que he probado: Excelente sazón, piel crujiente sin sacrificar la carne blanca.
