The Rock
Awesome food and service. Nice outdoor tables. Very clean. Specially love their build your own salad. Very fresh ingredients. We went twice and would definitely come back again in the future.
Butcher Chophouse
Food: Good - steak was awesome and so were the baked potatoes. Delicious apple pie with helado. Bad - the lobster was tough with little meat. also, the house salad was pitiful which was shocking as salads tend to be very good in Boquete. Service: very good. Server was prompt and polite. Value: poor. management figured out a deceitful way to not have to give the jubilado discount - they Jack the regular price up of EVERYTHING on the menu and then have a “special” price next to it. I’ve heard about this from others but first time experiencing it. We never ask for the discount at mom and pop places but this restaurant is anything but. I won’t go back just out of principle. If you open an establishment in Panamá, you should honor and respect the Panamanian laws.
Doña Nella
Spoke with the owner who’s been there for 20 years. Very nice lady and great staff (assume family). Food was delicious and very flavorful. The inside of the chicken was as tasty as the outside, right down to the bones! Authentic Panamanian food. We will return, most definitely.
Cholo`s
Panama doesn't have very many Mexican restaurants and the few they have aren't really Mexican. Cholo's has been the closest I've been able to find in this country. Great atmosphere and the service is excellent. The waiter knows exactly what I like and don't like by memory.
Duran Coffee Store
Service was very slow and the employees weren't very polite. With so many coffee shops in Boquete, you would think service would be important but I guess the name brand attracts customers. The mocha frap was good.
La Casona Mexicana
The table wasn't very clean to start with. Even though I chose it - was with the least crumbs. The chips and salsa are not free nor are they fresh. They were cold and very greasy. The tacos pastor were on store bought (not homemade) tortillas and with only 1 each (usually come with two as theyre thin and break easily. The tortillas were microwave heated and not on the stove. The waiter was polite and fast. He was the only good aspect about this establishment.
Bistro Boquete
I ordered the filtet de res which came with garli pottoes and salad. It was very delicious. Service was good. Didn't care for tables.
Salvatore
I ordered the combination pizza and it was very good. The crust had a hint of garlic flavor. The interior was nice and comfortable. Very reasonably priced.
Machu Picchu (David)
The tables are eloquently decorated and it's a very attractive restaurant. The food was good but the dish typically comes with rice and this did not. Although I was the only customer, the service was slow. I was never asked if I even wanted dessert.
Barú
I came here because so many people recommended how good it was. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing as I wasn't impressed at all. The hamburger had a very strange smell and taste. The seasoned potatoes were good though. Nice seating in a popular area but parking was difficult.
